I have a Campaign project in mind for which I may need to adapt an SU100

mantlet.

Rather than waste a full kit does anyone know of an available A/M product?

regards

Hi Mecanix;

Can you give just a lil-bet more info, what is the Project that your trying too build.
If not the SU-100 then maybe the SU-85 would be Better, altho they are nearly the same.
There are not a lot of AM sets that cover the Assault Guns, so you need too be more Precise on what you are trying too do !
Good Luck; MIKE.

Have you ordered from Armorscale lately without problems? They have a very bad reputation on the modelling forums and their wares aren't available from online dealers (a few old items not more), same on eBay.

Cheers,

Christophe

Hello,

no, I never ordered from them directly. I always ordered at my local hobby shop. But I haven't bought a single piece in the last years. I have no idea how trustfull they are now. But I had some bad experiences in the past which stopped me buying from most manufacturers directly at all.

At least one can look at their products on their HP

Best regards
Andreas

Gentlemen,
Thanks for your advise I may steer clear of the Amourscale offering and look else where.
Mike,
I was recently given some 1/35th T54/55 & JS III kits, both Tamiya and Trumpeter. Not being a Russian AFV modeller I looked for a project for them. Spotting the 2 campaigns running presently I planned an Object 704 for one( and yes I have just seen the post three up from this one ) and an SU122-54.
The latter looks doable with the mantlet and wheel spacing looking to be the only sticky bits.A quick bit of photo research leads me to think that an SU 100 one could be bodged. Thats why God invented Milliput after all.
I would rather write off to experience a few Euros for A/M that buy a kit I may never need.
Any opinion or alternate ideas would be happily entertained.
regards and thanks again
Jacques

Someone may have a spare mantlet from one of the DML kits. IIRC a couple of the kits had both SU-85 adn Su-100 mantlets.
