Fil Scale Models just recently posted test shots of an interesting Soviet tank destroyer subject from Trumpeter. A 1:35 Object 704.

Oh yes. I've seen an old resin kit that's been hard to track down. Just one more reason why I'm loving Trumpeter!

For I second I got really excited that it was an SU-122-54, then I noticed the JS style rear deck and remembered the 122-54 was Object 600. Hey I can dream.

I totally agree Erik as I was taken back for a moment thinking the same thing BUT, it'll do for me for now, that and the IS-4.
Then maybe the T-10, T-44 and the whole line-up of US heavy tanks too... the T-29, T-30, T-32, T-34. We already have the T-28.

Was just looking over those test photos and realised this (up : printscreen of World of Tanks model, down : cut from trumpeter instruction sheet for the kit)
So... Who got it wrong? Trumpeter or World Of Tanks? Couldnt find any drawings of the Kubinka machine. Nevertheless glad as hell this is in the makings.

WOT Chieftain's Hatch has a walk around ( and over ) of this beast . Althouht the hatch holes are round , the hatch covers are flat on one side as the WOT example . And if you go to the link for the Trumpeter kit , down in the instructions you see it has the right shaped hatch covers , at least that's the way I read it .Another kit to add to my wish list ...

Its not the hatch covers, i know the cut from the trumpeter sheet is just the bare upper hull part. But look again at the shape of the roof on both pictures, kinda different.

In the WOT video its hard to see if 704 is narrow as Trumpeter made the kit . They also don't give us a overview of the whole roof . Maybe in part 2 . But as WOT is aimed at Gamers , they sometimes skip over stuff that's important to Model Builders . Various things get mentioned , but not shown . That aside ,IMO , it's still worth checking out the Chieftain's videos on a regular basis . The 2 parter on the Hetzer was great .

Already thinking how to scratch build a BL-10 gun (the big badass one) for it. Any ideas / existing replacements?

Is it a scratchbuilt? Looks good, maybe better than Trumpeter's test shots.
