This is an egyptian sherman in 1967.
It is an M4a4 that underwent big modifications in France.
It was reengined with a diesel, receiving an M4a2 style engine deck and exhausts.
The turret was replaced by a french FL10 turret, the one used on the AMX13.
The model is from the company "Best Value Models", which is in fact a brand from AZIMUTH.
What they do is assemble parts from several sources : DML hull, heller turret, azimuth resin.
The turret needs to be reworked because the canvas sand shield has to be sanded.
Some more work needs to be done on the tank.
Please tell me what you think, good or bad !

Thank's rotorhead !
The kit still needs some work done, most of all on the turret.
The color will be a light sand. yes, I think the vehicle was used against the israelis in 1967, but I don't know much. Some people around here will probably know more !
I've seen no markings on these tanks, but I have very little info.
Painting might be done around christmas time... otherwise it'll have to wait because I'll be moving to a new appartment then.
For the sherman GB : I have an M50 sherman in the painting process.

I've seen a couple pictures of this tank. I think both were at the same museum in Israel, Latrun,IIRC. It was displayed without markings but generic Egytians would work. While the gun is good, a 75m based on the PaK 40 and also used in the M-50, the overly complex elevation mechanism made it relatively ineffective.
But it sure looks cool!

Sorry, but the gun is a french post-war derivative of the 75L70 from the panther.
So it's a sherman with panther's teeth ! And you're right, it's the same gun as on the M50, which is also french re-manufactured.
