So I just picked up a Trumpy KV-1S/85 #01567 and I had some questions.
Couldn't find clear info in my web searches but, what is in this kit is supposed to be an early or one of the experimental KV-85's? Name of the kit threw me off a little, why not KV-85 "early" or something like they usually do?
Guess my real question here is this. Since I already have a KV-85, mount a 76.2mm gun on it and have a KV-1S? A KV-1S kit was what I was originally after but only found this one. Was buying in store, buying online is fine but I like going in store.
Thanks fellas

I think you can add a 76.2mm ZIS-5 gun to it and make a KV-1s proper. Not sure if the turret got modded when they did the 85mm testing, and I do not know if the turret on this kit is the same as on the KV-122 or IS-1.

I checked this out and the turret on this kit appears to be a proper KV-1S turret. I have both KV-122/KV-85 kits and the turret is different than this one.
Looks like I'm pinching the gun from my British T-34 base kit.
thanks.
