OK...First kit started in over 15 years...first time doing any scratching and wire work. This Tamiya M41 Bulldog kit has been a re-learning project for me as well as trying my hands at something new... replacing moulded raised likenesses with some wire for grab handles around the turret, tie downs on the sides and rear, latch handles on the sponson boxes, the start of many engine panel-pull handles and latches all over the rear of the body of the vehicle. Taking a tip from our own Gunnie's version, i've extended the roofs of the vision blocks and scratched a new driver's hatch, due to an accident on my part. Taking what i'm learning from this "first kit" and using it on the two other current builds on my table.
All in all for the few hours I have invested so far, it's been one rewarding expierence after another. Combined with the daily exchanges in various chat rooms and message forums, I have found a "place" to go and do no wrong. No better feeling than spending time on a kit in my workspace. Just wish I had more to give.

You're doing that with this thread kglack (thanks!)---this wire work looks very very well done. I especially like the latch pulls on the rear deck and the guard on the vision block. This is good work---please keep us posted as you move along through this one.

If you are into PE,Eduard makes handles like you have scratched on your engine deck.Thta would save some time, unless you are enjoying this craziness.Nice work on all the handles.. (++) (++) (++) (++)

Looks good. You've put a lot of work into this tank. I think I may have an extra set of PE sides for the sponson boxes to give them the detail that is depicted on the kit box art. I'll try to look for them if you are interested.
