Hi;
If I remember this correctly, the T-55s were Polish Built vehicles. And they had engine decks that are different than Soviet vehicles. Polish built T-55s were different in that they had Armored Covered Hatches that were over the Air-Intakes, now if someone with Better knowledge than my-self can shed-lite on this will help with this vehicle. From looking at the Few pictures that I have in my library its hard too see what the engine deck really looks like. It would be easy too assume that there were Armored type shutters that would be placed over the rear deck too protect the engine deck from the Blast of the Rocket Motor on Launch. Again If I can recall there was a Feature Build that someone did of this vehicle on our site.
This SAM-TEL version is quite a Interesting Subject, that I myself had thought of this type of conversion too try also. These types of Vehicle Conversions are IMHO A Great Project for A Special Item that's Different And My Cup of Tea. The Other Vehicles are the Goa system that's also Built on the T-55, And the Akash system that's Mounted on the T-72 that's used by India and which I myself have or should I say that Im attempting too Scratch Build.

Another interesting vehicle I've seen is a BTR-60PB with a T-55 turret. Might give you something to do with the spare turret?
I might give that a try as I will have a spare T-55 turret from a T-54 1949 conversion I might build.

Hi;
Too be Honest, I think you could use just about any of the kits. for my money it still would have too be the Tamiya T-55. I have just about looked everywhere for additional pictures of your conversion, But with no Luck. I am even more Intrigued by the S-125 Newa system than the SA-2 ! I have even thought purchasing the 1/72 kit and using it as a guide.
