Hello everybody! First off, I'd like to thank Armorama for the opportunity to review and build this kit! Secondly, I have to apologize for my lack of documentation during the build process but there's not much difference in this kit and Trumpeter's prior T-64 releases. That being said I found the kit goes together very well except for one area, the Tracks. My normal procedure would be to assemble the tracks with an open link so I can attach them at the end of the build. Well, this set of track was just way to tight for that. I had to glue them up, paint all the running gear and glue in final position before continuing the build. Here are a few shots from the build process.
It was after this that I stopped photographing the build. Too make the long story short I taped up the running gear and tracks and continued on. Once I got the lower hull completely built I hit it with a coat of Vallejo black primer.
After this I finished up the turret and primed that black as well.
As of about 20 minutes ago this is where the kit is at.
I decided to try free hand airbrushing the camouflage and so far I think it's going to come out okay. The picture above shows my fooling around with a couple different Filters and a few washes etc.
Thanks for checking out my build, I'll have more progress pictures soon!
