Ouch, that is steep. I was thinking of getting one, but not at that price.

If you compare the prices of all Trumpeter and Hobbyboss kits in Japan to their prices in Hong Kong.. you'll find that their prices in HK are half (and sometimes even less than half) than their prices in Japan (So, this kit will probably be around $50 or 40 something in HK).. but the only drawback is that the HK stores get them maybe a month or two later.. So, unless you absolutely can't wait to get it...

Here's one example..

http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/data/lekwmtqvqnjw7lykvp3s.html

And in this case Hobbyeasy for it before!

Some kits will have about the same price, some will be go as high as being double. So, with Trumpeter and Hobbyboss, always check either Hobbyeasy or Luckymodel for prices first. The stores in Japan seem to have a strange pricing policy (specifically with Trumpeter and Hobbyboss) that is not consistent.. or at least I can't understand it

yeah, but if you can wait 9-12 months after the full boat MSRP sails, it will come up on Squadron's Tuesday armor sale or some other 'special clear the halls' sale for about $50 I am guessing

Look at the T64's, MSRP was, what $65, were just on sale for just over $30.

Patience grasshopper....

unless it is a deck clearing, must build NOW kit (Terminator, cough cough..)I will bide my time and finish kits already in the stash.

My US$0.02, your mileage may vary.

I totally agree with you, Mike.. there were so many kits that were over $50 when they were released, and I got them for around $30, and sometimes even less, because I waited.. and like you said, I have so many kits in the stash to keep me busy.. till after I'm six feet under

I can understand buying kits right away with people who build them right away.. like some of the guys that show their work here.. but to just buy it so you can add it to the stash... in that case.. patience will definitely be a virtue.. and less costly
