Has anyone ever tried kit bashing the AM upgrades from a SKIF T-55 on to the Tamiya kit? I know it's been done before with the UM T-55 with Drozd, and was hoping for a similar possibility. I haven't really found a conversion for an AM, only AM2s. Thanks for any input.

Even if the Skif kit's turret shape is a bit off (kinda like the rest of the kit) the turret armor will probably still fit You might have to tweak the mounts a little bit. By the time you add welds to the mounts I don't think you'd ever notice if they were off a bit, as long as you mount the armor parallel to the hull.
Since your base kit is the Tamiya kit, you avoid using a lot of the clunky detail parts.

Yeah, I bought one once.

Thanks Robert,
My ultimate goal is to eventually find an Italeri Bofors and mount it on the SKIF for a Serbian vehicle. I'm going to keep looking at the SKIF 55AM, the more I look at the brow armor the more wonky it looks.
