Hey all,
I'm working on a Trumpeter NKL 16 and lost the engine to a Mk. II 4 y/old middle child. I was able to salvage the majority of it but have completely lost what I think is the exhaust manifold. It's the piece on the bottom that is about 1 inch long by 1/4 inch wide. It has a bumpy surface that is actually supposed to be holes where the bumps are.
If anyone has an extra one of these, I would be willing to pay for it. I would hate to have to buy a complete new kit and have spent a great deal of time on the model already to have to ditch it. Thanks for any help1

After checking the plans on Hobby Search , I think you could make that part ( F 9 & 10 ) from some plastic strips glued together and then sanded to shape . Then get out a small drill and add the holes . You don't even have to do them all , just rust it up with some paint. I can't see anyone having a spare part like that , unless they have a trashed Aerosan in their spares box .

Thanks Jim, I tried my hand at scraych building and it didn't turn out too bad. I'm putting it in a dio so hopefully the scene will distract any attention away from it. I know it sounds haphazard and mediocre but it's the best I could do! Thanks for your help.

Hope it turns out ok . I've had to scratch a few pieces from time to time myself that I've ethier lost or broke .Actually once you get the knack , it becomes one of the hi- lites of the build experiece( IMO ) because you built the part from scratch yourself The hardest part is not poking your fingers with the drill bit when working on stuff that small ,and not leaving little dots of blood on other kit parts

If you need some visual help, there's some build-up pictures of this kit on the bottom of this link.
