I finished the diorama base for cover up campaign. 2 cm flak emplacement. It is made of plaster, ground is DAS modelling clay. I will add 3 Tamiya figures from the 88 crew . One reading a newspaper(luftpost),second maintaining the flak and third pointing the horizon. I am planning to name this dio as Achtung!Spitfire.
As always your comments and critics will be appreciated.
Thanks

This one is to show I learned to get better close up photos with my Nikon

Brilliant Graywolf! Love the bunker. Great casting. the timber casting looks great and very realistic. The whole layout with personal items has avery occupied feel to it. The camo net is another great addition. With the addition of the figures this will be a stunner. Nice touch with the spent rounds also.

Wow, great looking scene. I like the very subtle green that you have added to the weathing on the bunker. Really lets you know that emplacement has been sitting around for a while. Nice weathering on the gun too.....

Very nice work Graywolf!!! Have you done all of the weathering by hand or with the help of an airbrush?

Howdy Graywolf: Holy Moley!!! I am impressed. Your wearthering of the emplacement, ammo boxes, camo net etc is very convincing. What did you make the camo net out of? The groundwork also loks very nice. You really have a good thing going on this project, can't wait to see the finished figures in it.

All I can say is WOW!!! Oustanding dio. The bunker really looks real. Great weathering the slight hint of old faded out camouflage paint scheme, with just the right amount of weathering due to weather, age, and wear and tear from heavy use.

A job well done.

thanks all for the nice comments. Weathering is done by airbrushing and chalk pastels. I will paint figures this weekend and post finished photos asap. greenish weathering is done thinking this can be an atlantic wall flak emplacement.

Hey Gray wolf,
Looks great! The only thing s I would add would be some straps on the gas mask cannisters and binos. Maybe a magazine or news paper or two. Ya gotta have something to do in between those pesky Spitfires ya know. Maybe even a wine bottle or two if the Commandant approves.

Your work on the concrete effect on the bunker is particularly noteworthy. Just how did you acheive that? You have also managed to keep a cluttered effect without (as many people do), over-doing it. One thing I would probably add, would be a container of some sort for the used shell-casings... The area is so small, it would be a basic safety measure, one wouldn't want to be slipping over brass... Apart from that minor point (and the straps on personal gear) I like it a lot...Jim
