I am impressed, between this and their T-90 cast turretted version they may have really started to enter true first tier quality compared to Meng and the like. Makes me really, really want a T-80UD from them.

Hi Everyone;
Wow Nice, looks impressive and looks like its going too have a lot of sprues with many parts. Now the one question that I have too ask, is will it come with all that PE in the box. I have too Confess that I am not a big fan of PE, as have been discussed before, it tends too raise the price tag on a kit that Mite already have a high price.
Another question we should be asking is, are they really leaving out that much detail that Warrants Added PE details. Now I Agree that the kits are getting more Complex, but do they really need it, the missing details IMHO should be made into the plastic. The Level of Detail has Evolved so far and Advanced in Quality that it makes me question the need for PE. O.K. Enough of this Rant. Back too the Topic, so we now have a T-8ou, T-80b, T-80bv and a soon too be released T-84 Oplot. O.K. What's Next
HAPPY NEW YEAR; MIKE.

Hi Guys;
When you are trying too build a different version or Mk; and there is No other choice then I can see Maybe the Need for the details in PE, Something like what Richard posted, then its fine. And I must admit that it looks Stunning when its all put together, and some People like working this this Medium. I am just Not one of them; Now back too the Topic. Lets see how many T-80s have we, T-80b,T-80bv,T-80u,and the soon too be released T-84 Oplot which is Ukraine's answer too the T-90ms. Now I can sit back and Speculate what's next.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE; MIKE.

It's a bit expensive for a Trumpeter in my opinion.

Well as long as the quality is there. I am very happy with their T-72B but it was expensive at £40. At that price I expect a metal gun barrel which I did not get

I wonder what is inside the box..
Too many parts? A surprise metal barrel? Lots of PE? or all of them??
Trumpeter T-80B is $35
Trumpeter T-80BV is $52 ($49 for pre-order) on Hobbyeasy.
Why there is a 17 dollars difference? For the ERA bricks??

I believe the T-80B and T-80BV are going to be the same price at most retailers. Both are listed at LuckyModel and Stevens at the same price. Not sure why Hobbyeasy has the kits at such different prices.

First inside the box images of trumpy T-80BV ... small, but it is clear that it will be the early series vehicle.

Hi Everybody;
I Hope you all had a Great Holiday Season.
Now On Topic; In my search for Info on this kit, I have not been able too find any Good pictures of the kit picture.
Or the Tank that's in the box I should say, all of the Info and pictures that I have been able too find show the vehicle with the ERA Bow. I have in my Stash a couple of the Old DML T-80s and from what I can see the Turrets look pretty close. DML Back In The Day made three versions of the T-80. The T-80, T-80BV, and the T-80ud, now these kits were pretty Crude by todays standard, but you have too remember that they were the only Game In Town. I have ordered my T-80 last week, so I should have in sometime next week or so. Will Report on it when it Arrives.
CHEERS; MIKE.
