Is the driver's compartment for the Stryker the same as a Canadian LAV III? If not, can I use is as a base and what modifications would need to be made?

Matt,
Ignore the 1st and last photo as they are not LAV III's. AFAIK the drivers compartment is the same as the Stryker. But I'm sure one of my Cdn brothers who drive them can tell you for sure.

Is that a PRC-77 radio in that LAV III?

Didn't know they still used those. I used to fix those when I worked in Guelph, Ontario.

If you're referring to the fourth photo, that's not a LAV-III as mentioned. Looks more like a M-1117 Guardian/V-150 type vehicle.

The first and fourth pics are not a Canadian LAV III, they look like a LAV 150.

And yes those look like PRC radios.

cheers

Thank you all for the responses. John, the photos help immensely. And, thank you all for the clarification of which photos are actually the lav III I am referring to.

Jason: No worries. I found one I can use. It would seem that most of the horizontal surface has anti-slip covering it. I also found the correct paint for it.
However, it is Rust-o-Leum textured spray paint. I was told that it does not brush on, if I decant it. And, I am a little cautious as to whether I should risk running it through my airbrush.
That begs the question, is there an alternative? I don't think I can achieve the correct texture with Mr. Surfacer.

the no-skid on a 35th scale LAV is probably too fine to see. I wouldn't bother.

I concur, it's waaaaayyyyy too fine, and at this scale it would not be noticeable.

If it's up armoured, the anti slip coating is covered by the plates.
