I am hoping someone maybe able to help we out with some info / photo's / plans on the 3 Axle tank transport trailer that the MAZ sometime use's. I know that it is a typical flat bed as such?? I have heard of a set of plans supposedly for it & that maybe their is a 1/72 scale version of it??

Well, it is the ChMZAP 9990 and it only exists as a model in 1/72 scale from Armada which however looks very nice.

There is a few info to find within the web, but be aware, most info is on the civilian version of this trailer which is different in areas.

There is a walk around on primeportal.net with a MAZ 537 as tractor.

Well thanks again to our friends at E63 Paper Models you can now print out the plans for FREE! Then either build it directly from the paper cutouts or use them as templates to manufacture the plastic parts yourself!

Make sure your printer/copier prints at exactly 100% (most don't). Otherwise adjust accordingly.

Question: Are wheels/tires available for this 3-axle version of the trailer? (Other than the paper tires?) They seem definately different than the wheels/tires on the 2-axle trailer which ARE available in resin.

Here is an example of the assembly detail contained in the paper model "kit" of the 3-axle trailer from E63. Then too, please consider that full sized flat templates for each of these many parts in 1/35th scale are also contained in this "kit" as well! Very impressive!

This whole idea of models built of paper is new to me but apparently it is a concept that has been around for decades if not centuries!

I took one look at these plans and in my mind could not help but substitute plastic sheet and Evergreen plastic shapes for the paper.

The research done by these fine folks has served me well to fill in many unanswered questions in my attempts to super detail the MAZ 537 tractor I am currently working on!
