There are several T8O's on the market. Price not being the major deciding point, who makes the best kit at this time?

I recommend Xact Scale Models for their T-80U or the Trumpeter T-80b or T-80bv. They are the best kits on the market. The Dragon/Zvezda/Italeri kits are all from the same molds and aren't as good as the above manufacturers.

"aren't as good" would be rather an understatement. I have the Xact T-80U and the Trumpeter T-80BV, and both look awesome (got rid of my DML ones years ago...). Not had a chance to build either yet, but from what I've seen in blogs, neither of them is really troublesome, and both should be great fun to build!
