If that's the case, you must get a lot of painting done!

Fantastic clanker…the absence of front fenders really lends to the brute clanking deliverer of mayhem. Please keep posting this weekend!

Thanks for the comments guys ... It's the Tamiya kit built out of the box ..I'm going to try something new on this one.. It'll be my first attempt at a hairspray winter camo.. So I'm hoping everything goes smoothly.. I was thinking of adding a flat coat to protect the base color but I wonder if a gloss coat wouldn't work better .. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated..
model on!

A gloss coat will offer more protection as it seals better.

Surprised that it became a shelf queen,it was a wonderful kit.I only added Fruils which I love on Soviet armor.
Your modulation and washes are looking good, and nice job on the link and length which I hate,I'd rather do MT's instead.
looking forward to next update

Hi Anthony.. It's a great kit and I made it all the way to paint and I just had no inspiration... I have a show at the end of the month and I figured hey why not ... This is actually turning out really nice if I do say so myself ...Kinda thinking I don't want to cover up the green paint job..but that's what I set out to do ..soooooo..

Thanks Matt...
Well I wasn`t really satisfied with the way things were turning out ...I found the contrast was kinda (too much) So I had a pigment from CMK call dirty white... So I put this on quite liberally and then started to remove it ...D'oh !! It was sticking too well .. it came out looking chalky and I couldn't get back to the green at all ..not even rubbing with my fingers .. Hey I even tried Windex...NO such luck ..
Now I'm standing over my garbage can thinking it was a goner. Then I thought, why not try a filter . So I took a filter by Mig but didn't stir it too much .. I took a wide flat paint brush and started to add the filter .. To my surprise I could see the green coming through ....So it's not where I want it to be ,but it's back on the table .. I will need to add a flat coat before using any other filter products but I think they saved the day for now..
here's where I'm at ..

Nicely recovered!
Must admit I would have been happy after you'd applied the oils! Perhaps some dry pigments and it would've been good to go for me.

HI Andy ..I do agree that it was looking good before the whitewash and I almost chickened out, but this started out as a painting exercise . I have never done a winter camo and what a better time than now to try.. We'll see where this one goes soon enough.
Thanks for looking in .
