Ignoring accuracy issues, this is what I have been doing while I wait for the postman.
I've done quite a bit more work with pigments, since I took these. Comments appreciated.

I intend to blend these pigments with an off-white filter. I will be receiving the decals for the upper front of the vehicle in a couple of weeks.

Thank you for the kind words. This is my first "white" build. I am definitely planning on more. I find it easier to work with white, over other colors. It doesn't really affect the color of the applied pigments, ex. no bleed through. I fear the difficult part will be painting the mirrors. I'm just not sure I want to dedicate more money to this build by buying stickers.

I fear the difficult part will be painting the mirrors.
A couple of options:
Cheap) if you have any Alclad "Chrome" paint, paint the mirror face in gloss black and then spray the chrome over it. Very, very good chrome/mirror depiction.
very cheap) get some aluminum foil and burnish it into the right shape to fit the mirror face. Cut to shape. Using cheap spary adhesive or stencil adhesive adhere it to the mirror and then burnish down getting a smooth and shiny surface. You can even use a bit of Silvo to brighten it up. Seal with clear and then you can add a bit of dust over top to get a good effect.

Also a good idea, Graeme. The glue tends to be very sticky, but the aluminum is thicker than food foil and will burinsh up nicely.
