Just a little update on my Tamiya T-55. I used XF-51 Khaki Drab for an overcoat. I then used a little bit of sand colored paint for the dust. Still trying to come up with an idea for the display base for it. Still need to work on the engine screens and add fuel lines to the fuel tanks.

nice work!
You have to add rust on the tracks(now they are very clean) and on the chassis..
what do you think to damage a little bit something?
cheers

Nice job. What did you use for the lights? The searchlight colour seems a bit odd. Venom's question re damage raises an interesting question. What would the overall condition of a Warsaw Pact tank be? Since they never went into battle, would there have been any damage beyond minor manouevre damage, that may have been quickly repaired? T-55s used in 3rd world countries seem to have been driven into the ground with no minor repairs. Once it got broken, it stayed broken. I'm not so sure that would have been the case in East Germany, Poland or Hungary. I'd be interested in feed back on this one.

Toadster:
This is a nice build Toad -- solid. Straight oob on this one?
The turret machine gun looks like a nifty little piece of work, and the overall dust coat looks good. Markings are applied well and the "lens" work should make you know who happy .
This is a great looking model, and please keep us posted when you decide on how you are going to display it. Congrats

WOW! That's all I can say! This is very solid and good build, the lens work is excellent, and over all this one hell of a fine model!

Toady that is one nice looking tank. As far as damage is concerned I personly do not see the need to do any. The tracks yes to rust and a little more dirt. Apart from that a good looker.

Tt I recomend:
Some flat black exhaust soot from the exhaust area,spreading aft to the box behind it.
A rusty wash on the tracks.
Have you chunked the edges of the road wheels?
I think a Polish or other Warsaw pact vehicle might have some slight maneuver damage(scraped off paint,minor dents on thin sheet metal.) and should be only slightly shown on this one.
I can't wait to see the fuel hose connections.
(++) (++) (++) (++) (++) (++) (++) piggies so far.
