Well it's a year later, and I am finished with my first year at college. I have been busy with work and a couple other kits, but now I have begun working on this again. The DS tracks have gotten rather stiff, and I attempted to straighten them, but they broke apart into several pieces. I submitted a ticket to Dragon care, and hopefully I can purchase replacement tracks for the kit, otherwise I could attempt to salvage the tracks, or buy aftermarket tracks for a m4a3e8, though I could buy aftermarket t66 tracks, though the cost would be rather expensive, Any other ideas for the tracks, would be appreciated, if I don't have any luck with Dragon Care. Would T80E1 tracks work, or are they too wide?

I have begun re working a large portion of the interior, as before, I had little experience with scratch-building, andI lacked a digital caliper for measuring accurately. I have some experience, with scratch-building a more detailed interior for an Academy Tiger I, and I recently acquired a digital caliper. I also got Inside the Armor's Scratchbuilding Masterclass, I have found that to be useful for better techniques and methods of scratch-building.

I decided to make another scaled diagram, for reference. I will add to this when I need more reference lengths.

A roughly scaled breech/gun, for reference of the details of the breech.

Here's the current progress on rebuilding the breech and the hydropneumatic dampeners, and a start on the trunnion mount. A lot of the previous details were lacking, and were slightly too small for scale.

Good news, I contacted Dragon Care, and they have replacement tracks, so I purchased a new set of tracks. I will have to remove all of the old guide horns from the tracks. Could the issues with the tracks could have been from the CA glue I used ? just so I don't have the same issue again. I used Gorilla Superglue, as it is rather durable and sets up fast.

Fantastic build so far. I've heard solvent based primers can cause that problem with DS tracks.

I'm not sure when I will next get around to working on this, as I am preoccupied with a couple other builds, and currently I am at college. Though I have some outstanding news, I contacted The Chieftain, one of Wargaming's historians, I was able to obtain a copy of the operator's manual for the T28/T95 GMC, so I still have to page through the 565 pages of material, but so far it looks rather promising, as it has entire breakdowns of the traverse controls and other mechanisms.

I found more reference material I contacted the National Armor and Calvary Museum, and they replied with more photos of the vehicle. These were the ones that were taken in 2010 that I wanted to obtain more of when starting this build. I guess half of the battle for building this is finding reference material, and this is why I didn't get much progress on the breech/ cradle, as I was hesitant to work on it without reference. I may start creating some components of the cradle/traversing gear in CAD, and potentially 3D print them, as they are rather complex. With these new reference photos, I will probably have to remake several parts that I have currently made.

Here's a link to the site, and a couple links to different albums of the vehicle.
