Stayed home today too hot to go hunting , so I got a little bit of work done on my M1s . After getting the decals on the other night I started to get the gear together . I tried to give each tank its own "personality" by placing some of the gear out of place from the other tank . I am going to add more gear when I get it from Great Models ( the new Verlindin set ) .

Little more mud on the tanks IMHO
It was hot in the South today!
Looking good, I guess you'll have to match your ground color to the "weathering" of the plow, and get it good and dirty,
I like the scratches on the turret.
Very nice pair of tanks there

Really nice Toad. Great attention to detail ..... I like the little details that you have added yourself ... the skull and crossbones flag, the stowage, etc. The wear and tear greay areas look neat ..... have you sprayed or drybrushed this on? I read an article by MIG and he sprayed grey areas and blended it in as part of his weathering ... very effective! Was there a "damage Inc" tank in reality? Cool ... I can imagine chargin through the desert with that tune blasting!
I think its a it of post-it note hiding something underneath!

Hiya Toadster,
I am impressed by the speed of your outputs! A real nice dio you're planning there. I like the color differnces, the green plow and the smear on that tank ... very interesting!
How about replacing the "blobs" on the first side skirt with something hollow? Brass tubing would do. I personally like to replace the front fender spring rods with brass wire. Errr ... or have you done this already ... seems to be, o.k. forget that!
This is gonna be a very impressing dio indeed

Hey Toad-
Definately a pair of excellent M1s. Were you planning on adding any figures? A few troops riding shotgun or at least a tank commander would add a human element into the mix. Other than that, very nice.

OBTW : the plow tank is the Trumpter USMC M1A1HA w twmp . The over watch tank "Damage Inc." is the DML /Dragon M1A1-HA with crew .I'll just answer all the questions in a group .The IFF pannels are scratch built from Evergreen plastic strips . The plow tank is painted wtih MM Armor sand , Damage Inc. is MM U S Army/ USMC gulf armor sand . Both were washed with a thined out black water based paint then the base paint dry brushed over to sub-due the wash . The post -it is covering a PG-13 decal that came with the DML tank . There's a pic of it in the MSN album . Since the tanks are going into a suspected mine field the crews are buttoned up both of the TC hatches are in the open protected position so I'm gonna have the Tcs peeking out . This is not for the group build . Thanks for pointing out the blobs on the skirts will fix .

Toadster:
Pretty cool as usual, -- there's no doubt you are definitely one of the resident "Abrams god's" around here. The build looks very solid on both units.
This little scene should look pretty authentic when the differing elevations are feathered together giving the eye two levels of scenery to view as the one tank supports the other. Good concept here, and as usual your builds are well done.
Keep us posted.
