Just got back from a week long trip to the Big Easy and one of the highlights of my trip was two afternoons spent in the D Day/WWII Museum.

The Sherman looks like a post war E9 version from that angle?

All three of these vehicles were donated AND they all run. I don't think the Museum was too interested in being choosy.

Good eye!
The Monogram 1/48 Dauntless was my very first model. 1000 model's later.
That Museum looks awesome. They should have a 16" , 3 barrel gun turret on display? You know? From the battleships who were pounding the piss out of the fortifications on the beach.

Or a museum reconstruction? It has side extensions for wider tracks and E8 suspension, but has earlier tracks/suspension.

Thanks for sharing that. I have wondered whether it was worth a trip to The Big Easy for the museum.
Did the Dauntless DB serve in the Normandy Campaign?

Hmm, you mean just like an E9 conversion? It was done so duckbills could be fitted to both sides.

The Dauntless was my first ever model too!
They don't have the 16" turret (wish they did) but they do have a full sized German beach observation post with a 120cm range finder looking out to sea.
