Hello all. After all my models were destroyed as a result of an accident, I decided to start all over again. For starters, I chose the model T-80BV Trumpeter, enriched PE set from Voyager Models, and resin tracks from Masterclub.
I am considering also using a metal barrel from RB Model. I started to build this model one month ago.And this is the result:
Finally, I want to show you a real tank, where I was inspired:
Unfortunately, I have a big problem, because I have no idea how the tank is painted. It is so dirty, that you can not see anything at all
If someone would have an idea, please let me know. I invite you all to watch and comment. Thank you and best regards

Sorry to hear about your models being destroyed Grzegorz. But its great to see you are getting on with another model and you've certainly chosen an interesting one to do! The reference picture shows one very dirty tank! There's no telling what sort of camo is beneath all that dirt- hence you could probably go with what you want. I'd say its probably one of the standard Russian camo schemes though. Best of luck with this build.

Hello Grzegorz,
I see you've put the doubled up track link counterweight on the back of the commanders cupola, do you have any idea why the Russians have done this ?

The tank in the pictures is standard Russian Green. The only color difference is from all the dust. Nice work so far.

"a counterweight made to balance the commander's cupola, which would facilitate the work of the tank commander"
Thanks Ivan. I'm guessing that if this has been found to be a problem on the T-80 it is on the T-72 as well?

T-72 is no such problem, the counterweight is anti-aircraft gun

but the T-80 mounts one as well. Is this only used when the machine gun is not actually mounted in place ?

Hello all. After a long break, I come back to build my model. I am now focused on completing the turret. I resigned from the use of metal cubes ERA, because I found it too frustrating task. Of course I use ERA from Voyager Models, but only in certain places. Ok, enough writing, time for a little demo:
I also think that I solved the mystery painting, original tank. After careful analysis of this photo:
I came to the conclusion that the tank is green, gray and black. Therefore, this is how I will paint my model. That's it for now. Feel free to watch and I ask for comments. Thank you and best regards.

Welcome. After that, as I finished T-90, I decided to settle some unfinished matters. This thing is my T-80BV. Construction of the model with the amount of photo-etched parts, it is a little scary, but I decided not to give up, and here the effects of:
I still have a lot of work ahead, but I think the end result will be satisfactory. Feel free to view and post comments. Regards.
