This is the Tamiya Marder III with the Eduard PE set added. I painted/marked according to the kit's instructions. This is also the second kit that I have used Solvasol with (and am very impressed as there is no silvering...FINALLY).
My question to you folks is this, I looked online for references for interior colors for the different components, but the only color pics I found were of restored vehicles or those that lacked certain components I had. I was wondering if anyone out there could offer a little guidance as to the colorings of the crew area (or anything else I may have goofed on)
The pics can be found here - http://gallery37976.fotopic.net/show_collection.php?id=98545

Hi Jeff, nice build there. I assume your still in the painting process so I'm not going ro comment on your weathering. As for your question, because it's an open vehicle the interior was painted the same as the exterior. Only parts that moved , such as the wheel to elevate the barrel are sometimes painted black. And offcourse the gas-mask cases and ammocases and shells have a different color. And you want to add sratches to the interior in case of intensive use.
Take a look at : http://www.missing-lynx.com in the gallery/german there are some other marders. I know they are models but the can give you a hint.

you should oaint the gas mask canisters field grey, paint the indist of the periscope (thelens?) semi-gloss black, paint the tops of the sheels brss, maybe if you still ccan paint the breach block in a burnt steel color.

couple of minor points -
There is a visible seam in the barrel and the gun carriage. Neither is easy to remove. You could try and use some gap filling ACC on the carriage and fill in the seam. The barrel is harder and correcting the seam means repainting.
On the gun sight drill out the rear of the sight and paint the rear portion (rubber eye piece) weathered black. In the center of the sight a tiny drop of clear gloss to represent glass.
