Can you please say me if I can depict a T-90 (Meng Ts-006) with the 2a46 gun Barrel without the thermal jacket...and which aftermarket gun barrel I should use to do that?!

Can you provide some pics of this combination?!(No thermal jacket and T-90)

Hi;

Model Point is the only Accurate 2A46M Barrel that you can get with out the Thermo Sleeve, but they mite be hard to source. Altho you mite try either Soga or Model35ru !!

Besides regular maintenance, I can't imagine another scenario where the gun wouldn't have its thermal jacket outside of a fictional combat scenario.

There are many reports of T-72s in Combat with out the thermo sleeve, the Rapira is famous for the sleeve coming loose after many repeated firings thats why you will see the sleeve up-side down on many pictures or seen with only half the sleeve still attached. The earlier types of the sleeve had problems with the retaining straps coming loose.

T-72BV were regularly seen in Chechnya without thermal jackets, yes. All of the T-90 pics in my collection have jackets, although now that I've specifically looked for them without I've found several that don't have the jacket mounted on the muzzle end. Appears in a Victory Day parade a few years ago they didn't mount them at all.

Hi all,and thank you for the replies...I'm asking for this combination cause I want to depict a t-90 in the production line...so the basic idea is to show it without the thermal jacket mounted.
From the link provided by Jason for a T-90A I should use a 2A46 M-5 ....but...due to the fact that I will not mount the thermo sleeve which one do I need to take?!

Hi;

Some of the Newer AM Barrels mite work, such as Voyager or the Magic Item, I know that Voyager makes some Nice Stuff and there are A couple of others, as for the Magic Barrel there New and I have never seen one, I have Purchased Quite A Few Model Point Barrels and can attest to there Quality and Accuracy, and they make A T-90 Barrel.
