Hi All,

I am certain I recall reading, either here or elsewhere, that there are metal (or other material) aftermarket tracks for the 1/35 Meng D9R Armored Bulldozer, but after several searches, darned if I can find any evidence of such tracks. Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket tracks for this model, and if so, who makes them? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Easy Metal Links are the ones I think you're after:

They are very nice by the way!!

Hope this helps.

I used Friuls on my first 2 Doobi's. With the 3rd (with slat armour) Meng have done such a good job with the tracks I feel you don't need aftermarket ones.

Interesting. I thought the only difference was the inclusion of the slat armor...Are there any more differences apart from the tracks?

The tracks in the new kit have the linking bit as a single part. Easier to build than the old 3 part tracks.

I am lead to believe, that they give you metal tubes for the hydraulic pistons.

Wow, if there are that many improvements to the revised DR9 kit (the one with the slat armor), maybe I should just get that one. I ended up buying all the slat armor plus all kinds of other aftermarket PE for the original one. I have not yet gotten the aftermarket tracks, though. Again, maybe I'll just get the new model. It will probably be 1000X easier, as I'm sure the slats in the new kit are plastic, not PE, which will make things SO much easier...
