Here is my creation, the academy stuart "honey" built as the american stuart, which ment using different boxy thingies on back #:-) this is my first attempt at indy links (remind me to build tanks with big tracks next time) The markings aren't finisged yet as I am still contemplating as to either mark it with all the stripes and stuff, or leave it with just the stars,it is also waiting for some weathering.

Nice little beastie definitely needing some weathering. On top of that I've got two questions for you:
- the rusty part of the tracks apperas a bit too "purple red" in my view (or at least it appears from the pics). Are you going to do something abuat it?
- from the pics i cannot notice any difference between the .30 and the tank body? Is it the pic?

it looks great...I believe the reddish color will change when you weather your honey and the muzzle must be drilled a little more.
best regards

Looks good,pre weathering.
You could notice, since the guide horns go to the inside edge of the sprockets, you could very slightly put some aluminum or steel to simulate wear only on the raised ridge of the guide.

Lordette:

Good looking effort here pal. Lord Blue Fin was just talking about the Academy Honey in chat the other night,--- and it sounds like its a great kit. You have done well here. The indi links look great-- congrats on your first attempt!

Looks like the tow mounts (?) have to placed on the lower front glacis plate yet :-), and as you weather, ---- some dry brushing on those rivets to make them "pop" would be a nice touch.

Good modeling on your part again Dave. Please post more pics when you're done. Thanks.

The other guys commented on the tracks already. Two things...see if you can drill out the tips of the .30 cals and try to smooth outh the seam betneen the end piece of the barrl and the main section. That seems to be one of the drawbacks of teh Academy kit is those two parts tend to leave a seam. The barrel should have a smooth, consistent surface.
Otherwise good contruction and paint.
