Hey,
Did anybody compare the ZSU-23-2 AA gun from the Trumpeter kit (02348) against the one included in Meng's Pickup kit (VS-004)? Are there any advantages on one or the other?
Thanks!
Cheers,
Cristian

Can't answer on the comparison but the name of thz AA gun is ZU-23-2.
A ZSU is a tank mounted antiaircraft system.

Hi;
The Meng kit by Far !!!, I have built around Ten ZU-23x2 Guns, the Trump, kit is Good, but the plastic was just A little to Soft for my taste. The Meng kit is made of A Harder plastic which for Me is easier to work with and the level of detail was excellent. The only Down side is that Meng does not sell the ZU-23 as A Seperate item.
CHEERS; MIKE.

Thank you, Mike! The Meng kit gets you the ZU-23-2 and a nice technical for just a couple more bucks compared to the Trumpeter offer so I think it is a fair deal.
Ten ZU-23-2!!! You must be a real fan of those Have any of them online?
Cheers,
Cristian

Hi Cristian;
Most of the ZUs that I built were the old EE, Zvesda kits and were the only kits of the 23s on the Market, almost all of them were Mounted on A Vehicle. I made Two MTLBs with the ZUs mounted on the top, A GAZ-66, A URAL, A BMD long version, to name just A Few. I also replaced the kits Barrels with Model Points item that really made them Stand out, four of the kits that I made were for Friends of mine in VA Hospitals.

Thanks, Mike! I also plan to add that to either a URAL or ZIL and use metal barrels. We'll see how that turns out...
