This company is driving me crazy... they keep showing pics of their kits, but for some reason, they keep delaying their release

Daniel at Hobbyeasy just informed me that they're sending him some samples, so, I guess it won't be long before we see them on sale... fingers crosses

WOW!!! The box art is a 1:1 copy of Tamiya's ones!
The kits look like the old HobbyBoss kits - M706 and the rest from that time frame. Not bad for a first release. Let's see what it's going to be when the hit the market.
The test shot by HobbyBoss actually looked a lot more refined to me.

Daniel sent me these pics of the sprues of three egg planes they did, but not for sale.. If I understood it correctly, they will put them in some of the kits.. and if you're lucky, you get a kit that has one in it
This is what Daniel said...
"By the way, you may also found Tiger Model have produced 3 egg planes. Those egg planes are not for sales, they are combo as a gift with their AFV kits. The egg planes will be packed by a black plastic bag and which kits in combo are by chance."

To be honest I'm not impressed. The details seam a bit soft and heavy. Maybe it looks better in reality, but I will wait for HB VBL before I make a decision which one to get. I'm not much interested in the AMX.

And where the wheel tires?
Hisham, Daniel did not say how much it will cost and when will be available?

Jeez.. try to be a little positive guys and look to the future.. remember how Trumpeter's and Hobbyboss's early kits looked
Anyway, I got a clarification from Daniel regarding the egg planes...
"As I understand correctly, all their AFV kits from the first batch will combo with egg planes. So, everyone buy their AFV kits will have a free egg plane."
A little less negativity goes a long way, guys... (notice I didn't say you have to like them)

Any pictures of the "egg" planes fully built up going around? From the sprues the shapes don't look very much like the egg planes Hasegawa have released already.

I think its great they are tooling these much-wanted French vehicles. These two have been on my 'most wanted' list for a while. I'll definitely be picking them up when they get released. Hisham- did Daniel happen to say when he reckons they will be up for sale?

They look ok. But I'll be going with HB instead if they're doing a kit of this vehicle as well.

I'll probably get Hobbyboss's VBL also... But a little word of encouragement for a starting company wouldn't hurt.. maybe they improve with time and make really nice kits

I'm certainly excited about these two releases, these vehicles are greatly missed in styrene. Lets hope they can finish up with a hat trick and add a VAB to the list :-)
I'm also willing to give them the benefit of the doubt regarding quality. In my opinion, good old-fashioned modelling skills to fix up detailing on models never harmed anyone.
That said, its up to each and every modeller to decide how much work they want to (or can) put into a project, or simply wait for a better model to come out (or scratch build a complete one). My last project took me four years on and off (Tamiyas old M113 from, the 70's), and it doesn't really worry me.
The lack of wheels/tyres in the pics didn't bother me, I simply assumed that those pics are not available at this early stage. Since the wheel rims are on the sprues, I guess we can assume that the tyres are the usual rubber/soft styrene many manufacturers use.

According to Julie Ludmann from Model Miniature (Who do excellent 1/72 scale resin kits), Tiger Model got their research info from them to make these kits in 1/35 plastic... and Model Miniature make a very nice VAB kit, so a VAB by Tiger Model is not too far fetched... fingers crossed

I like the look of the VBL and that it appears to have a full interior. The AMX-10RCR looks pretty good too. I believe Blast has an interior for this version, or at least the driver's compartment interior.

Not for AMX-10, but the VAB.

That is right. My memory is failing me. I couldn't access their site from my work computer to varify. Blast has a bunch of great French accessories though.

Back to the negativity - positive thinking topic.
Well, we are 2015 and saw at least three new companies making a head start in the recent years - Meng, Takom, Avant Garde Model kits (really only aircrafts but of a great quality). So I think it is fair to expect something better tham this. Plus if it's true that they are related to Takom it's a shame to put those things on the market.
As for a purchase one has to consider the price - if they are in the same price category as HB M706/V100/V150 (the quality is similar) than - OK, it's deal (or a steal). But if they want to charge the same amount as for the VW transporters... At least not my train.
And, Hisham, you are totally right - they deserve a little bit more positive attitude.
