The model is done so enjo the WIP untill the end. Academy M-113A3 is the starting kit saving the hull, wheels, tracks, rear door ramp and frontal plate.

Until now i think that the last mission of VCC-1 was in Iraq!
In afghanistan i have seen many pics of Vm90 (also armoured version) and Puma in the first period and Lince in the last.
ciao

Hi Maurizio,
Very interesting project and nice subject. I'm following your progress.
By the way, it looks to be a 100% italian tread so far...

Nice start !
In 2008 in Lebanon, there were a couple of these VCC-1 in one of the two Italian battalions.

Thank you all for your comments. I haven't any drawings. I'm doing them by myself based on pictures and kit hull.

Interesting, I built the Cri-El conversion many years ago and got another one waiting in my stash.
I think the best looking variant is the one with the perforated steel plates.
Good luck on your build!
Cheers,
Christophe

I've started the Cri-El conversion and fitting it to the hull is a pain. I like what you've done so far.

Side walls are coming from a styrene sheet. They are based on the kit side dimensions. I later found a Criel VCC-1 conversion. I bought the conversion with the resin top roof/hull just glued to the Italeri M113 hull. I'm going to add the interiors and perforated steel plates in future.

Making the external protections. I've made the master with stirene angled strips and then made some copies in resin and trimmed to the right size.
