Afternoon Folks,
Following on from my T90SA build I've been plodding through Meng's Terminator. A fantastic kit with no major problems although the tracks are a little tiring. The fit is superb and it really lends itself to beng built as sub assemblies for putting together once primed/painted. Anyway a few pics to show where I am at currently.

Cheers Mike, Yes I'll be adding the plows and countermeasures Greg. In my mind it makes the vehicle even madder looking than it already is. It will be fitted once the camo scheme is on.

Latest update, took a while to sort things as originally I painted it the two tone green pattern in the instructions but it just didn't look right. So I re-painted it the same pattern but substituting the sand colour. It's still got some items to fit such as the antenna and tow ropes on the rear. Also I'm not too happy with the weathering on the road-wheels as it looks too much like a camouflage pattern so that will be getting attention. I've also tried to portray it as an in service vehicle and so the missile tubes are painted the monotone colour they would be if supplied for use. Also from looking at reference pictures on the net missile tube colours can vary considerably from light to darker brown, through to green so i have tried to portray that to make it a little more visually interesting.

Hi Max;
"STUNNING"--I See Nothing Wrong with your Terminator !
I Would Not Change Anything; The Spiral AT Missiles are Correct in Color on the Three that are in A more Yellow-Green as they would be the Anti-Tank version, the other missile would be A Thermobaric Warhead Version and I am Not quite sure what color they use on its Launch Tube. Training Missiles are mostly painted Silver, and I Have Not seen the BMPT with them mounted.

Afternoon Mike,
Thanks for the kind words and info on the missile tubes. It never occurred to me that different coloured tubes could denote warhead types but thinking about the role this wagon was designed for and the fact the Russians like their thermobaric weapons it makes sense. I'll get the final bits and pieces done this weekend (tow ropes, antenna etc) and post final pictures.

well....great work here.
As a side note,if you're correct about the colours you aren't correct about the missile tube launcher. The missiles tube launchers in the kit are a representation of the fake missile launcher mounted over bmpt. The real one is different(in shape)

as you can see by yourself. It has been used in show over bmpt.
Just my 2$.
Great job by the way...keep it up

Beautiful work on that Terminator max, I've also had issues with Meng's tracks. As fully engineered as they are, they're just a little finicky. One to be proud of.

Hi Ciro,
Not sure what you mean about the launcher as it looks exactly like the one fited to the BMPT on some youtube videos I've watched where it has launched a missile. I can understand a helicopter mount being different.
Thanks Terry and Marco, the tracks are a bit of a chore timewise but the supplied jigs make it relatively easy to put together but they fit really well when on the model.
I'm now looking for some thin copper wire to make my own tow ropes as I don't think the supplied string quite cuts it. Probably have to twist a few strands together to get the look I want. Anyone have any suggestions on something readily available in the UK I could use.

You might check the beading section of Hobby Lobby or any other craft store.
I found some twisted beading wire in various thicknesses which should make good tow cables. It comes in pre colored rolls about $3 to $4 a roll.

Calling this one finished...for now. I'm sure I'll see things I want to do later. Fitted the antenna, made tow ropes from twisted wire (thanks Donald) and fitted last minute objects. In fact just noticed I haven't done exhaust stains on the bar armour!!
Anyway here's the pic's.

Cheers Ace & Mike. I'm having a bit of a Russian moment right now, maybe a BMP 3 next. The armour is just so interesting. Until I get my Chieftain that is.
