Hello,
Update for today:
Didn't expect this kit to have such minute detail on it. Nearly cut the wing nut off, thinking it was flash.
The other side was not as good so I'll have to look at what's in the spares box.
Here's an attempt to put in some fender damage:
I better put a stop to this before I do real damage to this build!
Cheers,
Tat

Hello,
The dent was a disaster so I've decided to undo it:
Tested to see how it looks painted:
A bit more putty work to even out the surface, but am quite happy that the damage was undone!
Cheers,
Tat

Finally got around to putting my finished photos up. I've only put them up on my kitmaker page so far but will put a few up in the Campaign gallery next. Was a nice straightforward build. I'd won the old Tamiya Kubelwagen as part of a job lot on ebay a while ago and compared the two. Actually there is no comparison. The old one is not even worth taking out of the box let alone building. That's going back on ebay as I'm sure someone will buy it lol. Somehow I lost the windscreen so had to make one but it looks okay. Here's a couple more WIP pics and the finished result.

I've only put a bit of light chipping on it as I can't weather it properly until I'm ready to build the dio which I estimate given the size I'm thinking of is going to take best part of a year. Also as the KW's only been in action for a couple of weeks (it's going to be set in Normandy)so it's still in reasonable condition,no heavy rust or dents etc like a vehicle that's been in service for a couple of years. The ammo belt is slung over the back and the top cover lifted as it's just moved into a hospital area coming off a patrol (that's it's setting in the dio) with the gunner poking about with the engine while the driver revs it. I've enjoyed the build and will be taking an interest in what other people are creating. Thanks for the fun.

Hi Folks.
Any objections to a wingy-thingy nut joining the party here?
I will be building this to go in a diorama for an Aeroscale Campaign next year.
Cheers, D

I guess I'm kind of late to this party.. but if there's still room for more participants.. I have a Bronco GAZ-69 which I was planning to build to later add to a dio with and Egyptian MIG-15.. is the GAZ acceptable? And are Land Rovers accepted?

Hisham,
GAZ should be just fine, Land Rover under 2 tons/4500 pounds would certainly fit the profile as well. Welcome to the Campaign!

Thank you, Michael
I also have these other kits.. any or all of them fit the bill?
Hisham
Hisham,
Based on a very cursory search, I believe they would. Hard to say about the BJs but the UAZ certainly looks to be fine.

Thanks Tat, I used Vallejo 70864 natural steel for the mirror as it was all I'd got in at the time.

Eugene,
Sorry, I don't think so. Limit is 4500 lbs and, as the Dingo is armored, I think it would be over the limit.

Well, I've finally gotten around to posting something on this project. This is my first experience building a Bronco kit, and it's definitely something different than anything I've ever done before! It's not bad, just different! Here are a few in progress shots. The kit is designed with the British airborne modifications and Bronco has done a pretty decent job incorporating those neat little changes into the model. I'm really enjoying this project thus far. We'll see if I say that when I get around to the 8 dudes that go into it!
