I've finally located my TB 43-0209 (1976 version), Color Markings and Camouflage book. If anyone needs or wants any of the camou patterns let me know and I'll scan it for them.

Are there US Army vehicles only in it? I need LVTP7 MERDC camo, and I don't quite trust Tamiya. But it is USMC only vehicle of course...
From US Army vehicles I could use M113 (and M106, but I guess it is the same), M151 and M60A3 camo patterns if you can scan them for me! I can put scans on my website later, so anyone will be able to downoad them from there.
Thanks!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have the current version of the book if it is needed. I think that I can just select the graphics and email it accordingly. Let me know. Thanks.

You can take a look here for the A1 and A2 variants :

I'm not sure the A3 template would be much different from the A1 one....

The book AAVP-7A1 LVTP-7A1 Full Detail, by Gilbert and Swan has camouflage patterns on one of the last pages. It states and looks the drawings were based on study of 20 vehicles from different units. Can scan later tonight if still needed.
I have the LifeColor set, but really wish Ammo of Mig or AK Interactive would come out with a MERDC paint set.

If you just Google "MERDC camouflage" you can find all kinds of sites with the patterns. No need for scanning or copying books.

Yep, and I wouldn't be too concerned about getting these patterns down to "exact" duplicates unless you are trying to depict something right out of the factory. We used them as a guide only, covered headlights and things we didn't want painted with blast bags (from the expendable cartridge covers of 152mm Sheridan rounds)and axle grease, and did a lot of work free-hand. The initial (new) pant schemes didn't last long-- we repainted every vehicle in our squadron at least once a year whether they needed it or not. Major colors were painted outside with an air gun, the black "branches" were done with spray cans, and we used MOGAS for thinner when we ran out of the real stuff.

In 1978 my unit received brand new M60A1 RISE passives in forest green. There was no factory cammo each unit painted their own. My tank commander said you build models you can paint it. I had an 8x11 piece of paper with the pattern and a piece of chalk. Drew the pattern to the best of my ability and then was given the spray gun. We used only the 2 major colors the base green field drab(brown) and black no sand. It also was not repainted trough the rest of my tour 18 months.
Used GAA (grease automotive and artillery) as a mask for vision blocks and lights.

The overwhelming majority of them will give you Army vehicles. What he's looking for is TM 4750-OD/1 and TM 4750-OD/2, but the ones I've been able to find online, like this one from dme.acqcenter.com are for the post-MERDC 3-color patterns.
