Hey everyone,
So this is a project I've had in my head for while, but have no clue on how to go around doing it. I've never seen any 1/35 upgrades to make one either. I figure start with a SdKfz 251C. Thanks for any input.

If you do search for "1/35 OT-810" you will find that TB Models does a full resin kit of the late version. Not sure if this is the version you want to build, but TB Models' kits are great - I have their KN-251 Loader so can attest to the quality.

Not too picky on the version, just want one. Wish it wasn't so expensive though.

Resin kits are more expensive than styrene kits ....
The tracks are different (not Sd.Kfz 251 tracks and maybe unique for the OT-810, even if there were any Friul tracks they would cost more than $30 anyway ...) -> resin tracks increase the cost of the kit.
In the end it all depends on how much you want this kit ...
Do you want it more than 2 or 3 Panzers made by Dragon ?

Yeah I know, and honestly there isn't anything keeping me from just saving my pennies and getting one.
Thanks for answering my next question which was going to be about tracks.

Hi Seth,
Let me know if you want/need more details about this kit, I have it in the stash so I can dig it out and do a mini review ....

Did you order it from their main site? I'd love to hear the details on it.

I will need some days to dig my way into the stash to find that little box
I bought two kits directly from
http://www.tbmodels.cz/index.html using PayPal to pay for them
and had good communication with the owner.
The actual ordering was done via e-mails, no shopping cart function ....
The OT-810 was not quite ready for delivery, the last masters and casting was still being worked on.
This was approximately a year ago and I had a brief look in the box then and everything looked fine.

This guy has built one "hakl" some time ago, there is his buildlog: http://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=91562 on modelforum...
Pictures of finished kit gallery: http://modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=92995
Have to say, it brings my memories back. We trained on them at the very beginning of my career - when driven on the firm roads at speed, the tracks tended to "swim" due to their sag, off road driving usually ment working with brakes levers, because of turning the steering wheel didn't help very much to change the direction of the nose...
