I never heard about the release of this Tank. I was counting on the release of Meng's Abrams and now this. The detail of this Tank look better than any Abrams kit I've seen before.

Kind of an optimistic statement judging only a few CAD images..
We still have to see if they manage to get the turret sides and front shapes right, and a lot of small details, not to talk about them reproducing the antiskid surfaces and the eventual accuracy of it.
I expect both Meng and RYE, and any other manufacturer who try the M1A1 or 2 to do a better job thasn Dragon did, butb that's still to be seen -and in the particular case of Rye, I have my doubts given the precedent of their Tiger I-.
As always, let's wait and see...

Yes, and TAMIYA as well. Who's next with an M1A2 SEP TUSK I & II tank? TRUMPETER? BRONCO? PANDA? HOBBY BOSS? DRAGON/BLACK LABEL?
Are we getting set for another "Battle of the Tigers" with this latest rash of M1s? We could definitely use the earlier types with the 105mm main Gun, I should think. I personally would like to see a "state-of-the-art" M46 and an M47. And, I'm still banging the drum for an entirely new M8 HMC, an M3-M3A1 Light Stuart/Honey-series, an M3 Medium Lee/Grant-series and an M113 APC-series...

Well, I'll guess we'll see. I'm not buying another M1A2 SEP, no matter WHO makes it. I've already got four DRAGON A2 SEPs built, not including the V2, of which I have one. It doesn't really matter to me personally which M1 is superior to which. Whether the MENG or this latest RYE FIELD TUSKERAMUS is the better of the two, I'm ALL DONE building AIMs or SEPs with TUSK I or II kits, of which I have one of each, using the DRAGON A2 SEP kits, which I built with their respective LEGEND TUSK I and TUSK II Conversion kits. Since TAMIYA and MENG offer the M1s with TUSK fitments, and now RYE FIELD's brand new M1A1/M1A2 SEP with TUSK I & II kit, doesn't mean I that have to rush out and buy more of what I've already built, just because they're new. It's just not necessary, as far as this old coot is concerned. Anybody else that wants to buy them, go ahead, it's your prerogative...
IMO, let's see something entirely NEW, if we're going to have more M1 Abrams kits. I can understand a USMC M1 ABV, HA and Heavy Common types, or better yet, several of the various initial and/or early 105mm main gun types, but please, no more TUSKs...

The Dragon kits are just fine, would of loved to have seen an ABV or a USMC version but hey I'll buy it for the bad blessing decals seeing as I just built that example as for the rest of it I'll still build it just not in a hurry.

Dragons Latest kits are great but none of them come with the Tusk 1 or II parts.Can't see spending $80 for Legend resin add on part plus $60 or so for Dragon kit.Tamiya has the parts but on ancient kit with no anti slip surface.Hopefully the new kits(Meng and RFM have it all for $80 or so. I am into Mengs kits now.

It depends on if the TUSK parts are what you are after. TUSK was only used on tanks in in Iraq for a relatively (8 years?) short period of time.
Personally, I want a really good Abrams that can be built w/out TUSK. We will see how they engineer it and if they include the standard #1 side skirt since the #1 skirt is replaced with a sheet metal one (as opposed to armored) when TUSK ERA blocks are used.
Dragons are awesome and they have put the bar high. We'll see how Rye Field and Meng do on their versions.

You can buy ALL that stuff on ebay or LUCKY MODELS for A LOT LESS money than the amounts quoted. All I was saying was that I'm not going to rush out to buy either the MENG or RYE FIELD M1 kits with TUSK I & II sets, because I've already spent enough money on the DRAGON M1 kits, PLUS the LEGEND TUSK I & II Conversion sets. I can't see spending even moire money on subjects that I've already built. Just NOT going to do it...
What I'm reeeeally waiting for are Initial Prototype and Early M1 types, armed with the 105mm Main Gun. We are LONG OVERDUE for "state-of-the-art" kits of the above...
KUDOS are due to DRAGON for doing their M48A3 and M48A3 Version B, AND their up-coming M48A1, M60, and M60A2 kits. Seeing as DRAGON's BLACK LABEL has been given the T54E1, I'll reserve any negative commentary on that kit, pending it's release and subsequent reviews...

The Meng kit is on preorder for half tje Rye Field one for some reason and both due out in February. Have to wait and see.

That looks very nice,but I really don't like the TUSK look.I would hope that they do a simple desert Storm AIM in the future.
