My first try at creating a very rusted vehicle with pastels and oil paints. I welcome any feedback
Looking for good diorama idea to incorporate this vehicle.Any suggestions?
Regards
Vivek

Hi Vivek,
The mud on your model looks great! But I feel the rust is overdone. That amount of rust suggests an abandoned vehicle. Unless in combat, soldiers spend much of their time cleaning and maintaining weapons...even if that means that they just cleaned them yesterday. Their superior's careers are tied to how good their troops perform as well as how good their gear looks. In a soldier's year there are weekly inspections, maintenance log books to fill out, and more inspections that may be performed by commanding generals, annually. And general's are like gods on earth. You don't want them mad at you.
Best Wishes,
Gary

Agree with GazzaS. This might be OK in a post-apocalypse scenario, where the time and/or materials aren't available to perform regular maintenance. Also, that bright shiny launcher doesn't seem to match the vehicle.

Tend to agree with the others. While the effect is well done and it does suggest an abandoned or otherwise derelict vehicle.

I concur, especially about the shiny missile tubes. They just don't seem to correlate.

I really appreciate the feedback guys. I see your point. Porbably I will include this vehicle in a Chernobyl diorama if that makes sense.
