I have been working on this bad boy for some time now, so please be advised, this will be a picture heavy post.
My subject is Tiger 100 from Abteilung 502 and the kit is Dragon's Tiger I Initial. I will also be using Spade Ace mirrored metal tracks, RB Model Tiger I early barrel and ET Model PE set for the Dragon Tiger I initial (seems the set provides some options for the African Tigers, too). I am still have not made up my mind if I am going to use the TMD resin turret, will see how it goes.
CC welcome!
Thanks for watching

Brent, Tim,
Thank you for your interest and taking the time to comment, much appreciated!
I did some prep work today and misted the clear parts with heavily thinned clear green to give them that green tint they seem to have.
Should get more work done tomorrow.
Catch you later
Christos

Shaping up now!
The road wheels and the hull roof are dry-fitted, as there is plenty of work still left to be done.
Thanks for watching

Hi Christos, your Tiger is coming along very nicely. I look forward to future updates. Just by coincidence I am building 502 # 111 with the same Dragon kit. Best regards....Dale

A bit more work done on the Tiger and I had to use some squadron green putty to fill some gaps and re-create the weld seams (where applicable). I have also started adding the OVM, but it looks like the Dragon wire might be a bit of a challenge to bend into shape/place.

The turret is almost completed, just the smoke launchers are missing and a few minor details from the turret bins.

Have you used a cotton cable for the tow cables? I ask as it looks different.

I used the cables that came with the kit and not the easiest thing bend or fix in place.
I found out a tad too late, but apparently the cables and eyes are OK for a later Tigers, but the initials had thinner cables (22mm instead of 32mm) and the corresponding eyes and storage brackets were smaller, too.

This is one spectacular build. Is the horseshoe supposed to be upside down?

Hi Matt,
Thank very much for the good word, much appreciated!
It was like that on the real tank, as well
To be honest, I always thought this is the correct way to hang horseshoes as lucky charms!

If it's upside down, all of the luck falls out.

This explains a lot then! Tiger 100 was stuck in the mud and was captured intact by the Russians!

"I will also be using Spade Ace mirrored metal tracks"
I just got one of these kits in the mail this week and am watching your build with particular interest. I have built two sets of Fruil tracks before but have not heard of the Spade Ace tracks. Are they also metal with a wire to join the links? How do they compare with the Fruils?

Hi Paul,
I can't comment how the Spade Ace tracks compare to Friuls because I don't have any. But I can comment how the Spade Ace compare to Masterclub and I think they are on par, see picture below:
The bottom left run is Masterclub and the bottom right run is Spade Ace.
They come with a pretty hard wire to use to connect the links together, but I used pins instead. I found it a lot easier to push the pin by pushing its head and the end result looks more accurate, too.
