Hello folks!
On my bench right now is an 1:35 Academy K1A1 MBT. Following that would be their older M48A5K Patton and K1 SPG. I was wondering whether anyone could provide assistance to the correct color of paint I could use for these vehicles? I noticed they mirrored. the MERDC pattern that US tanks used in the 80s. The instructions were calling out for Dark Green, Flat Black, Earth and Khaki. Would be appreciative if I could get the proper Vallejo or Tamiya colors for em. Thank you!

I have been considering using Vallejo for a project and looked at their offerings. I haven't bought them yet, but I was considering the following colors:
Vallejo Model Color 70.893 US Dark green
Vallejo Model Air 71.020 German Green
Vallejo Model Color 70.873 U.S. Field Drab
Vallejo Model Color 70.921 English Uniform
Vallejo Model Air 71.139 US Field Drab
Vallejo Model Air 71.029 Dark Earth
Vallejo Model Color 70.988 Khaki
Vallejo Model Air 71.138 US Sand
Vallejo 70.950 Black
Has anyone tried these colors for MERDC? How did they look?
For Tamiya, it looks like Forest Green could be Dark Green XF-81, XF-61 or Field Grey XF-65. I didn't like the looks of XF-52 Flat Earth in photos of models that were finished with it. XF-52 looks too red for my eye. Tamiya doesn't seem to have a match for US Sand either maybe some Dark Yellow , white and a touch of a green might work, and black can be XF-1 Black with some white or XF-69 Nato Black.
