Crisp, yes. But the wavy surface is WAY overdone.

I prefer much more restrained rendition on DEF wheels.

Oh boy. I didn't even pay attention to that, until you mentioned it. That side wall is very overdone.

They did it on purpose, to prevent any trade mark infringement claims from Michelin, but they could have done it in a way that would allow modeler to easily restore the proper spelling by chiseling off part of letters. Like "MIOHEUIN" for example Like Dragon does by putting "CONTINENTAU" instead of "CONTINENTAL" on wheels in their kits.

DEF are small business, so they probably hope to stay under the radar. Meng supposedly already had problems in the past with Caterpillar after their D9R release, so they are more careful now...
