In progress, finally found a set of track that would fit. This is the newer mold Academy kit.

Nice looking so far
How is the newer Academy kit, everything fit well?
Nice samdbag armour. Is it a resin?

looks ace. I like Academy kits, although they have some inaccuracies, you seem to get alot for cheap. Most of their kits come with interiors & extra ammo.

Great job! I agree, with Dave. Academy kits have some of the best value.

I too have one of these kits in the pile. It looks great in the box. What tracks did you use? Were the kit tracks not up to snuff?

The kit tracks are very stiff and almost impossible to glue coupled with the fact that I couldn't find any paints that would adhere to it. Found an old set of Dragon DS tracks that fit.

Thanks. The actual kit itself fit okay. The upper and lower turret halves needed some coaxing and little filler. The counterweight parts have gaps that needed filler but other than that no major drama.
The sandbags are from Black Dog. They were designed for the previous Academy release so they needed to be dipped in boiling water 5 or 6 times to bend and twist them to lay flat on the model.
