Hi all
I'm looking at getting the Orange box King Tiger and can't seem to find much info on this kit.
The main thing I would like to know is are the Pe screens for the rear deck deleted from this kit, I know it has DS tracks but that's about all I can find.
Many thanks Ben.

If you're after kit # 9144, it does not seem to have any PE.
Here is a kit review.

Thanks Dustin.
still not bad value but disappointing that the screens aren't included but I guess the price isn't bad.
Cheers Ben.

No problem. What's the price? If you can, try to locate a 2005ish Dragon King Tiger. They have all of the PE, metal barrel and so on. I bought mine for roughly $50 if I remember correctly.

The Orange box version was $45 at hobbyeasy $5 cheaper than the bulge King Tiger so I ordered the bulge one from cyber-hobby I will have to wait and see if they have simplified the kit like some of the others have been.
I went through my stash last night and didn't realise that the Zimmerat version has all the metal parts as well so I'll get into that one while I wait.
Cheers Ben.

I thought the RRP for 9144 was supposed to be $37.50' any more would destroy the entire point of the Orange Box line

Is he talking Aus dollars though? On dragonusaonline you can get tnese for $30 US, but then shipping etc. I got the Academy KT and the Dragon KT on eBay for 25 quid each with p&p, and they bothe have etch and indi tracks. Well, the Academy is l7nk n length, but not the crappy DS tracks.

Sorry guys should have mentioned the conversion price from US to Aussie dollar which at the moment isn't realy in our favour at hobbyeasy the Orange box KT is $45.00 Aud and with shipping still would be much more expensive than the Bulge KT from Cyber-hobby, I'm not normally to particular about prices but for a small amount extra I won't have to buy an etch set.
After some more searching seems DS tracks is becoming the norm I had a look at the Porsche KT with Zimm and it has the rubber tracks but retains the etch for the screens.
