For those that have seen both, do you have a preference between these two kits? I like kits that both go together well and are accurate when finished. There is about a 14 $ difference between the two kits with Tamiya being higher but it is not enough difference to influence my choice.

I think you mean Meng? I haven't got the Meng kit but the Tamiya MKIV is well worth getting. I've built mine as motorised but it would be much easier to build without the motor if you don't want to do that and it's pretty accurate too apart from 1 or 2 small things.

For me Meng with full interior is the winner

For a clean simple straight forward build, the Tamiya is an excellent build. The motor and drive box are simple, the clickable workable plastic tracks are a dream,I had no assembly problems.
Not as detailed as a Meng kit,but probably not as complicated either. So it depends on what your looking for in your build.

the Meng kit is a hard kit to get all the bits and pieces to fit properly following their instructions. Neither of my sponsons came out perfect. My Meng FT-17 is the same way, great interior, but with hatches closed.

I have built the Tamiya kit and have the Meng one. I loved the Tamiya build, fast and easy..added a crib and it was on to the races as they say. The Meng looks great, but it ain't no weekender....
