The authors of these books seem pretty well known and respected. Too bad Amazon doesn't have the "Open the cover" option so that potential buyers can see some pages.
Comments and reviews on the books welcome. (I might buy "blind," but I'd like to know which of the books are worth the price).
Thanks in advance.

I just picked up the LCS book. Haven't had a chance to evaluate it, but, at any rate, since it's a Squadron Signal book, you can potentially pick it up cheaper at Squadron:
http://www.squadron.com/Littoral-Combat-Ships-In-Action-SC-Squadron-Si-p/ss14036.htm
or another online model shop, particularly if you can include it as part of an order for other things.

Squadron has a Youtube video covering the content of the LCS book. Thanks for the FYI!

I buy Tankograd books from here.
Aberdeen Books
If you want to see sample pages, Tankograd has them on their site. They don't show titles that are out of print, but you can see what sort of pictures are in a typical book of the series.

I have the first two. The Tankograd book is basically a photo walkaround, with extensive detail photos of the M1A2 SEP V2. Excellent full-colour photos throughout.
The SAM book is split into three parts covering the Abrams, Bradley and Stryker in OIF respectively. Each part has the same format: A section covering vehicle history with plenty of in-action photos; a few pages of detail close-ups; a page of colour profiles; and a step-by-step build of a model - the Tamiya M1A2 (with Legends TUSK), Academy M2A2 and AFV Club M1126, all with aftermarket and extra detailing. At the end is a list of kits and accessories for each of the three vehicles, although its a few years out of date now (e.g. no Meng Bradley).
I can highly recommend both books.

Thanks, Ed.
Does the Tankograd book have any photos of the M1A2 SEP V2's interior and woodland camo pattern photos?
I take it that the OIF book only has photos of M1A2s in tan (desert) camo, correct?

Hi Peter - all the M1A2s in the Tankograd book are in the NATO three colour scheme. There are some nice shots of the engine compartment, but otherwise no interior pictures.
Like you say, most of the tanks in the OIF book are in overall tan, but there are a couple of shots of NATO scheme M1A1s with tan TUSK components (which is how I plan to finish my Rye Field Abrams when and if it arrives...)
