Hi

Another Korea-related request. Any idea(s) about this South Korean army truck ? :

At first I thought the second one was a different model (different headlights mounts) but maybe it's just a variant...

TIA

Thanks Pawel. I had the feeling it wasn't a US-built truck...

Toyota BMs were supplied to both the S. Korean and S. Vietnamese armies as they were seen as easier to maintain and a more local (closeness to Japan) vehicle for them than US CCKWs and M35 trucks. It was also a way to further the reconstruction of Japan after WWII by providing a market for their vehicles.

I've found more info about the Korea War BM orders here :

Too bad there's no 1/35th scale kit for this truck....
