I see the pre order is out for the Takom T69 II for $49
I have never built a takom kit.
I was wonder what is the expected quality of the kit based on your experience building other Takom kits. I normally build Tamiya, Dragon (The better ones) and AFV Club kits.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I just got Takoms T-55AMV and have in the past built the Tamiya T-55.
The Takom kit appears to have more detail and includes the very prominent fuel lines which Tamiya don't provide. Takom also have road wheels with the correct raised vulcanising seams...another detail Tamiya got wrong. I have built a few Takom kits, the Mk IV male, Chieftain Mk 5 and St Chamond and can recommend them for their buildability

That is not a bad price for that model and after the reviews I have read about Takom's kits.They are suppose to be hard to build but very accurate.

Hi;
While some People will always prefer Tamiya No Matter What ! There kits tend too lack the Finer details.
Takom on the other hand, being A new realatively new-comer has finer details in there kits, altho some dislike there quality of plastic. I have A Number of there kits in my collection, and I like them A lot. There T-14 is A Superb model and went together with no problems.
CHEERS; MIKE.

I've built the Tamiya T-55 and have currently the Takom T-55 AMV lying around.
Perhaps seeing the parts layout between the kits can help you make up your mind
Takom's T55AM (the type 69-II wi be similair in it's parts breakdown)

Tamiya's T-55

Personally I'm impressed with the T55 from takom, at first glance the breakdown of the parts looks similair to the Trumptere T62 kit's (of which I've built three) and these didn't have the easy of already seperated track links and fuel lines...
I strongly recommend the Takom kit on this subject.
HTH,
Sam.
