No reason why it wouldn't be.

Maybe it is inflatable like the 88mm shell that was released
by Pit Road, last year or so....

I'm afraid I really just don't see the point of this offering. Do they really think there will be enough demand for this to justify production?

Actually, probably yeah there will be. Especially in Asia, there has been a very solid business with 1/1 and slightly smaller rifles for instance, as well as tank shells and the like. Heck, if the price were reasonable I'd be tempted.

I think somebody already does make a chair like that in resin- PLUS MODELS? Maybe someone else, but I do remember seeing that chair or something very similar in aftermarket. Expertly painting-up of the chair and one of the several EXCELLENT aftermarket Panther Track Links, could make this a remarkable spoof-fake! What with all of the marvelous photo shopping and computer technology available today, a photo like this can easily be faked! It's been done with other things on this site before by people with a sense of humor, so I can't see why it couldn't be done again.
IMO, I can't see why anyone would want to spend a fortune on a RESIN reproduction of a 1:1 Panther Track Link- We all know how expensive any resin bits and pieces can be; what would a life-size THING like this cost?
I don't take it seriously...

On the other hand, I could be mistaken, but weren't some resin Pz.Kpfw.II Track Links available some years ago? Or were these REAL ones?

You would need so much metallic pigments for it, can you imagine? Bottles and bottles and bottles 😃

Perhaps it's a subscription service. You subscribe, and for a monthly premium of $199, they will ship one Panther part a month, until by the year 2168, you have a complete full scale resin Panther.
(Not sure if 1:1 scale resin Panther road wheel will survive the weight of the rest of the 1:1 Panther, thou)

Guess I'll have to take your word for it. 1/1 reproductions of small arms like rifles makes sense to me, but not this. I spent the last 11 years in Japan, and while I saw lots of hobbyist enthusiasm for 1/1 weapons, I never saw interest in anything like this (actual items, yes; reproductions, no). But I suppose it's just a matter of individual taste, like anything else related to this hobby.

Who says it's resin? Could be injection moulded plastic. If not, the jokes on me. Ha!

It's a model you need to build, in plastic. Like a tank, airplane etc, etc. Except it's in 1:1, not 1:35 or 1:16.
So how many links for a full track on one side? Multiply by the price and you'll have one side's price.
I already feel my wallet deflating ;-)
EDIT: Just noticed, they say track, not link, so now me too is confused.

You guys...
First of all, in the very first image it clearly states 'First PLASTIC kit of a real tank part'.
Second of all, the picture is obviously photoshopped, if a panther track was that big compared to a standard chair it would be about 4 feet across. I do remember seeing full sized cast aluminium tiger and panther tracks at a model show in the UK years ago...they wanted a lot of dosh for them though...

Well, like anyone who tools up a Tiger or Panther in kit form, I hope Takom are ready for the (inevitable)"That's not right" experten who collectively seem to work from more different sets of scale plans and references than there were actual machines built.
Lets see.

I'd rather have 1:1 tank shells from various WW2 tanks.

You guys are HIGH!!!
A monthly premium of $199.00 for a 1:1 Panther? What! For the rest of your life? Your average REAL 1:1 CAR monthly finance payment averages about $500.00, with leases coming in at slightly less.
WHERE would you even store this thing, much less build it? Are you guys even aware of how BIG a 1:1 Panther really is? I suppose some of you guys think it would fit in your apartment!
It's a PRANK!
