Hi fellas,
I'm about to start painting some parts of my first Bradley. This is my first desert color vehicle to paint. I have AK Desert sand and Tamiya XF-59.
Most of these directions call for XF-59.. Which seems dark to me. Am I just seeing things here?
The AK desert sand seems more on par. It's pretty light.
But I've been having issues spraying AKs black primer and I'm wondering if have issues with their desert sand. Should I be thinning that paint? I read its spray able straight from the bottle.
I never have issues spraying tamiyas paints.
Thanks for any help,
Dustin

I don't know about the AK paint, but Tamiya XF-59 is too dark. I use Testor's Model Master Sand (FS33531) for modern CARC Sand. It is the closest model paint color I have seen to the actual color.

Thank you Gino. I'm going to try this AK color since I have it and its really really light.

I have also had problems with AK primers in the past so i've stopped using them, but i get on fine with there regular paint.
