Why do people keep doing this? As soon as a plastic manufacturer announces a kit of something that has been done in resin before, people start saying that it is copy of the resin one! I remember a few years ago when Hobbyboss was accused of copying the "DANA".. and some people were absolutely sure of it.. until it was released and people started building it, and they all said that it was engineered totally differently than the resin one... YET, it continues to happen

The only known use (Antwerp) and photos show the missile being fired from the Meilerwagon (sp) not Flak 41 carriage as Michael Baldeweg depicted it. May or may not be a case of parallel thinking. I can't recall how Cromwell Models configured theirs. There is an awful lot of unsupported missile in this configuration.

I compared the CAD drawings from Bronco, thanks Darren, to the images the claims were his master, and the Bronco kit is nothing like his master.

If it came with a Meillerwagen i would have bought it.

Does it REALLY matter...?!! If you like it...buy it and build it. If not....you know the drill...! If this sort of nit-picking went on way back when modeling got started..well...it wouldn't have got started...!! I agree with Hisham TOTALLY.

This is definitely a very interesting piece of... Arms. Looks pretty cool too.

Appears this kit is slated for a June release. We shall see what we shall see.....

That is correct look at the pictures if you can in the number of Now and Then on the Rheinbote

Varanusk the rheinbote is only used operational in the configuration with the Meillerwagen They did fire from the Nunspeet area in Holland towards Antwerp. firing periode from end of 1944 until januari 1945. greetings Bert

V2 Rocket. It was a 4 stage missile. A lot of stress would occur at the join between stages. I think the Meillerwagon makes more sense, being longer and able to give more support. Having said that I will still buy one! I have the Rheintochter.

Would the Meillerwagen from Wespe models work or is it completely different?

I have been checking out the Wespe meilerwagen for a Dragon V-2 I built and comparing it to pics of the meilerwagen with the Rheinbote on it they seem to have been modified - there is a thin launch rail on them which the V-2 trailer does not have. Other than that, they are the same.

Buying the kit and the Wespe trailer and doing the conversion work would be expensive. May as well buy the Customscale resin kit.

Brekinapez You are right it is a modified Meiller there is a guild rail for the Rheinbote mounted on the Meiller arm. But it has no air bottle set no V-2 clamps, in other words every thing needed for the V-2 is not on the Rheinbote version. I,m not glad about the Meiller from Customscale because it is a COPY of the Meillerwagen from PSP France, and the PSP No: 35003 is in fact a remodeled copy of the Airmodel No 1001 from Germany. Nd what I have seen from the Wespe meiller it seems also a copy of the Airmodel/PSP Meillerwagen.

I hope that Bronco will bring a Meillerwagen that would be wonderfull a model I'm waiting for many years.

The PSP Meillerwagon is now being produced by Scale Link. Parentage of original kits is getting confusing! Who did what, where and to whom. Perhaps Michael at Customscale will have a sale when this kit hits the shelves????

Thanks for the information Bert, but it seems that at least for trials it was mounted also on the flak41 base. Or something like that. I have been able to find only two obscure photos that do not really allow me to be sure.

Correct they did test this Flak base configuration at Leba in Poland .

Any news on this?

I got mine last weekend. It is a really nice kit, lots of detail and an extensive set of instructions. I was surprised at how many parts there are, looks like a lot are moveable too.
