I purchased an HR Models 1/72 GMC-352 Railroader from CzechKits and, as was required, created an account with them.

http://www.czechkits.com/172-gmc352-railroad-p-14609.html

While they sent me three e-mails thanking me for registering and a slew of e-mails suggesting additional purchases, they did not send me a receipt for my purchase, nor did they provide an estimated time of arrival, nor does the account-profile display your previous purchases. They did however deduct the funds from my Paypal account.

After making the purchase on 6/11, I was bothered by this fact and e-mailed them on 6/15 (Wednesday) to confirm that my order had been processed and request an ETA. To compound my concerns, CzechKits has not responded...

Has anyone else dealt with this company and can you confirm that they are reputable???

I've purchased from CMK (another Czech company) a few times and they also are not in the habit of sending a receipt, etc., but do deliver. Sometimes takes up to 3 weeks for arrival.

A lot of continental Europe firms do not send receipts. They seem to prefer that you log into your account and progress of your order is there, usually referred to as status. order, packing, sent. Never heard of that firm though. Try logging in. HTH

PS Make sure any receipt isn't an attachment on one of the emails.

I bought from a place in Ukraine. It took weeks for them to process my order, and occasionally they would send me e-mail updates with a total, but no billing info though the bill was to be processed with Paypal.

Eventually, I got a payment request from paypal, so I was able to pay and got my kits in the mail.

But the process took so long that I wondered if they even had a warehouse and stock, or if they had to purchase the stuff I'd ordered so they could ship it to me.

After dealing with Aussie companies like BNA Modelworld and even waiting for stuff from EBay, I now wonder if that part of the world does things in a totally alien way.

I was just contacted by CzechKits and, apparently, my order didn't show up in my account history because it had been taken out for 'review' because of a mismatch between what I paid and the value on the invoice, which was actually in Czechkits favor. Specifically, due to differences in the manner in which PayPal and CzechKits converts Dollars to Euros, I overpaid by .10 US cents (one whole dime).

Now that they've rectified the situation and refunded my .10cents (which I wasn't "missing") the order is showing up in my account as 'pending'....

Had they asked, I would have told them to keep the .10cents...

Most traders out there are good honest folks, some are not. Glad it was resolved.
