Hi folks. I'm looking for recommendations on the best aftermarket tracks to buy for Dragon's Tiger 1. The kit is of the late model Tiger and it's numbered 6253. It includes the Dragon Magic Tracks but the guide horns are solid so I'm looking for a metal, resin or plastic accurate alternative. Ideas please? I've built Fruils before so that's one option I'm looking at but I'm not sure what else is available and what your experiences are. Thanks friends.....

I couldn't tell you which ones that match, but a number of companies make AM tracks.Spade-Ace metal tracks are a cheaper alternative.Modelkasten are plastic workables.AFV Club make indies and bands.

I have tried all sorts but always come back to Friuls.
I am currently using 'Masterclub' metal tracks with the tiny resin pins (which keep breaking or flying off) on another tank kit and I am now having to use metal rod cut to size which defeats the entire object.
For me personally, the 'sag' of real metal cannot be bettered for realism and it provides a very satisfying 'weight' to the finished model rather than feeling like you are picking up a toy.
From memory, FRIUL ATL-06 is the way to go for a Late Tiger 1.
Probably the oldest option available and maybe not the cheapest; but still the best!

MasterClub makes two excellent sets. MTL-35005, is the metal track set
and MC135005W is the resin version
You can get them for around $27 USD (MTL-35005) and $16 USD (MC135005W) from Armor35.

Kaizen plastic tracks are also an option-workable with pins. Here is a review:

Hi folks
There's some interesting options here, thanks a bunch everyone.
I think I'd like to go with Fruils but I would like to know for sure if the guide horns are hollow on the ATL-06 mid-late tracks. I have some conflicting intel on this and I'd like to know for sure. The Kaizen and the AFV Club are really good too, but I'd like to go with the Fruils if the guide horns are indeed hollow. Anyone know for sure.....?
cheers
Bob

I really like AFV Club's workable styrene tracks. Hollow guide teeth, and only two large parts per link (no teeny pins or separate guide teeth). And yes, they do sag nicely.

Thanks everyone for your input! I think I'm going to go with the Fruil ATL-06 set. It's metal, it's got hollow guide horns, and I have a good supply of Blacken-It for the weathering.
Cheers everybody!
