I took the Tamiya KV 1 and sprayed her with a light ocat of water then added sea salt over the base coat of flat grey with patches of rust. Table salt is too fine in my opinion for this technique, I'd recommend the sea salt which has heavier granuals that can be more evenly distributed. The next stage will be to carefully removed some of the granuals to form patterns on the base coat then overspray with MM Topside Green. Let you know more as I progress.

Hi DJ,
I got burnt out on Shermans so as a change of pace,I picked up a KV-1B last weekend. It's an old kit but with a little work it'll look great. I'd sure like to hear (and see) how the salt treatment works.
Good Luck!

Here you go DJ. You may want to upload photos a bit smaller in the future!

I think about 450 x 300 pixels at 72 pixels per inch resolution. So around 6 inches x 4 inches. The file size will be about 400k. Those will load fast and still be big enough for good detail.
A bit bigger would be OK too, maybe with 600 pixes being the maximum width.
I think some people out there still have monitors running at a fairly low res, so the smaller photos are a help to everyone.
